Contraction loci on hyperkahler manifolds

Synopsis:

 

Let f be a birational contraction of a hyperkahler
manifold M. Its exceptional locus E is called contraction locus;
it is not hard to see that it is covered by minimal rational
curves C_i. For any deformation M' of M such that the
cohomology classes of C_i remain of type (1,1),
they can also be contracted by a birational contraction.
We prove that the contraction locus E' of M' is
diffeomorphic to E. This is a joint work with
Ekaterina Amerik.
