Mathematics In Finance Project and Presentation, 2000 PROGRESS REPORT GUIDELINES This is an intermediate progress report that should show that you are well under way in the technical aspects of your project. It should be several pages long, and well written and professionally formatted. The first thing I am looking for is that you have made your problem very definite; that you know exactly what you are trying to do. Then, I want to know that you have digested your reference material. You should spend AT LEAST A PAGE explaining in some technical detail the relevent ideas from your references, why you are using them or why not. Next, if you have a model, I want to know exactly what it is, again in technical detail with all parameters identified, even if their values are still uncertain. Finally, say how you are going to calibrate and/or test the model.
