Courant Student Organization
Many student events at Courant are organized by the Courant Student Organization. It consists of elected student representatives from Math and Computer Science, though currently the two groups are running independently.
For the 2012-2013 academic year, the Math representatives of the CSO are (emails in parenthesis below are @cims):

Some of the current activities and events at Courant:
- The graduate Student Forum.
- The Graduate Student/Postdoc Seminar (see below)
- The Breakfast Club (see below).
- Sales of T-shirts with the Courant logo.
- Weekly Happy Hour (you'll get the emails with time and place of the gathering).
- Volleyball (see below)
Grad Student/Postdoc Seminar
This is a weekly seminar organized by and for grad students and postdocs. It intends to to give students and postdocs an opportunity to give a talk in a friendly and supportive audience while learning about research at Courant. Seminar webpage and talks are here.
Breakfast Club
Weekly H&H bagels, cream cheese, orange juice, and meeting the other Math graduate students. This is usually held Tuesday mornings.
Volleyball
Courant has two co-ed volleyball teams, Set Theory and Net Convergence, which compete in the NYU Intramural league. New players of all skill levels are encouraged to join! For more information, contact Mitch Bushuk (bushuk@cims)
